    ​Ralph C. Jones, 95, of Shawnee, OK, died Jan. 27, 2022, in Shawnee.

    He was born Dec. 3, 1926, in Clyde, NC, to James and Jessie (Fullbright) Jones.

    Ralph was born and raised in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. He attended school, and graduated from Crabtree School.

    Ralph proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

    After his military career he went to work at Tinker Air Force Base as a Time Efficiency Expert.

    He was married to Betty Brothers and they lived in Midwest City. Ralph has lived in Shawnee since 1997.

    He was very passionate about his church service. He loved vegetable gardening, but mostly loved spending time with his family. Ralph greatly enjoyed working with charities that benefited service men and women.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jones.

    Ralph is survived by five daughters, Marilyn Pebsworth of Shawnee, Carolyn Stacy of Shawnee, Teresa L and William Farmer of Choctaw, Connie Phelps of Shawnee and Debbie and Johnny Goodman of Branson, MO; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.

    Service was Feb. 1, 2022, at Highland Church of Christ, Tecumseh, with Erick Henson of Highland Church of Christ and Jim Mitchell of Cherokee Hills Church of Christ, Oklahoma City, officiating. Burial followed at Sunnylane Cemetery, Oklahoma City under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
