Robert Melvin Wright, Jr. passed away Nov. 10, 2025. Robert was born on Aug. 23, 1936, in Crescent, OK, to Robert M. Wright, Sr. and Dorothy (England) Wright. He graduated from Guthrie High School in 1954. Robert married Reba (Bailey) Wright, on June 28, 1982.
Robert served and was honorably discharged after completing four years of service in the US Air Force. He then worked for 26 years as a civilian at Tinker Air Force Base before retiring early. He then spent the following 25 years as an HVAC Technician.
Preceeding him in death were his grandparents; parents; wife; sisters: Mary (Wright) Peterson, and Betty (Wright) Roth; and his brother, Zeb Vance Wright, II.
Surviving family members are brother-in-law, Tommy Baily of Shawnee, OK; sister-in-law, Linda (Bailey) Rayfield of Oklahoma City, and her sons, Richie and Jeff Rayfield; niece, Dawn Hindle of CA; niece, Patricia (Roth) Anderson of Salina, KS; niece, Brenda (Wright) Johnson of Moore, OK; nephew, Chris Wright of Norman, OK; niece, Angela (Wright) Amos of Noble, OK; also numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 am to 8 pm, Nov. 13, 2025, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel in Tecumseh, OK. Graveside will be at 2 pm Nov. 14, 2025, at Tecumseh Cemetery officiated by DeWayne Colvin under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
