Ronald Lee Nease, 81, of Shawnee, OK died Oct. 1, 2021, at his home surrounded by family.
Ronald was born in Stratford, OK, on March 17, 1940, to Andrew and Laverne Nease and graduated high school in 1958. He married his wife of 60 years, Karen, in 1961 and had two children, Randy and Kelly, shortly after. He worked as a welder at Tinker AFB where he retired as Section Chief in 1995.
He loved fishing, especially at Lake Eufaula, hunting, gardening, and talking about the “old days.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Laverne Nease; sister, Linda Suttle; and his beloved and well-behaved dog, JJ. Since Ronald’s death, his brother, Stanley Nease, has also passed away.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Nease; uncle, Ladue Nease; aunt, Mary Armstrong; sister-in-law, Betty Mellen; brother-in-law, Donald North; son, Randy and Brenda Nease; daughter, Kelly and Kirk Smith; granddaughters, Kristin and Austin Dunn, and Whitney and Jared Steele; grandsons, Chad Smith and Audra Barksdale, Jeremy and Suhaila Nease, and Sam Smith; seven great-grandchildren; and many other loved ones.
