Tommy Eugene “Pops” Walker passed away June 29, 2025. He was born Oct. 12, 1952, to Preston Eugene Walker and Thelma Lee Irving in Los Angeles, CA.
He married Leona Taylor on Sept. 3, 1971, in Nicoma Park, OK. They shared 49 years of love and laughter until her death in 2020. He worked in construction and was a Millwright by trade. Tommy and Leona “Mue” went to over fifteen Jimmy Buffet concerts over the years and he enjoyed those concerts and trips with his family and friends immensely.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and brother, Steve Walker.
Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Jason Walker and JT and Mindi Walker of Tecumseh; three grandchildren: Josie Taylor Walker, Brody Eugene Walker and Jaxon Cash Walker; sister, Patsy Rose; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Graveside Service will be 10 am, July 12, 2025 at Tecumseh Cemetery Pavilion with Robby Kinsey officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
