Virginia Elizabeth McClaskey passed away on May 26, 2026. Virginia was born on July 11, 1948, in Fort Worth, TX, to Lonnie and Cora Grooms. She graduated from Maud High School in 1966 and married Gary R. McClaskey in Nov. of 1967.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary McClaskey; her parents, Lonnie and Cora Grooms; and her siblings, Joe Grooms, George Grooms, Jack Grooms, Beatrice Smiley, Betty Kelley, Joyce Bran, Fran McCarty, and Jean Rowley.
Virginia leaves behind her children and their spouses: Shelly and Dennis Mahler, Audra and Chris Bowles, and Gary and Christy McClaskey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bobbie and Bob Woods, and Glenda and Lloyd Bowers; her grandchildren: Shelby, Garrett, James, Savanna, Sydney, and Pauline; and her great-grandchild, Ellie.
Service were held May 29, 2026, at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, OK, with Pastor Bobby Shatto officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
