Wilma “Jean” (Jeffcoat) Rodgers, 91, passed away on Feb. 15, 2026. She was born on Aug. 12, 1934, in Alex, OK to W.J. (Wilkey) Jeffcoat and Nellie Mae (Dutton) Jeffcoat. Jean graduated from Shawnee High School, Shawnee, OK. On Sept. 14, 1952, she married W. Norvell Rodgers. Throughout her life, she worked diligently as a bookkeeper for Freedom Baptist Church in Porum, OK and also served as a meat inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture. Jean and her husband were FFA Boosters and active members of the Tecumseh Round-Up Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband.
Jean is survived by her sons and their spouses, Jerry and Sheila Rodgers of Quinton, OK, and Craig and Terry Rodgers of Tecumseh, OK; granddaughters, Stephanie and Nic Anderson of Quinton, OK, and Jennifer and Jeff Patton of Oklahoma City, OK; grandsons, Jerome and Amy Rodgers of Cypress, TX, and Corey and Katy Rodgers of Shawnee, OK, Jimmie Prater of Checotah, OK and Danny and Traci Prater of Orange Beach CA; brother, Gearl and Louise Jeffcoat of Henryetta, OK; as well as 26 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Services will be held 2 pm, Feb. 19, 2026, at Sharon Baptist Church, Tecumseh, with Pastor Clint Dawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Tecumseh under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
