Livestrong Program Graduates Form Strong Bonds

The six women honored at First United Bank’s Harrison branch in Shawnee on June 8 were already strong. They had all survived breast cancer, and one is still fighting. But together, they have formed bonds of friendship no one can break, making them stronger.

Shawnee Swim Teams Take Top Scores At Nov. 17 Meet

The Shawnee High School Boys and Girls Swim Teams hosted Bixby, Plainview, Lone Grove, Ada and Byng swimmers at the Shawnee YMCA on Nov. 17. The 200-Yard Medley Relay, in both the boys and girls, was won by Shawnee.
Shawnee senior Vincent Tash competes in the Boys 100 Yard Butterfly during the swim meet with Moore, Southmoore and Westmoore athletes on Nov. 10 at the Shawnee YMCA. Tash placed fourth in the event with a 1:07.90. His teammate and fellow senior Ethan Oller placed first with a 55.84. Shawnee placed first in the Combined Team Scores, with 803 points.
