LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

To the Editor, Recently, I spent 40 days in the skilled nursing part of Heritage here in Tecumseh. After a couple days reconciling myself to find out that I was to spend 40 days there due to an IV antibiotic I needed, I adjusted and actually began to like the place.

The Adventures of Merle Blades

A very few of our readers may recall the fall of 1955. In September of that year, I was a pimply- faced, skinny, frightened 13-year-old freshman sitting in Merle Blades’ required freshman VoAg class with about 25 other Hoosier boys in Paris Crossing High School in Southern Indiana.

For the past five days, Mr. Right and I were on the front lines of what can only be described as Grandparent Babysitting Bootcamp. Our two grandsons (9 and 5), who conveniently reside next door, were left in our care while their parents took a much-needed, child-free vacation.

As we move deeper into the legislative session, we are creating bills that keep you in mind. One of our biggest priorities is to protect Oklahoma taxpayers and ensure government programs serve the people they were intended to help.
