North Rock Creek became Regional Champs following their 54-45 win against Kingfisher on Feb. 28. They begin Area play Mar. 6 in Kellyville, at 7:30, against Catoosa. Deoncesay Beavers, a junior at Shawnee High School, recently captured the Division II Indoor State Championship in the 60-meter hurdles at OU, breaking the school record with an impressive time of 9.6 seconds.

The Lady Wildcats hosted Lexington in District play and the game was never in doubt, as Bethel dominated from the beginning. After the first quarter, the Lady Wildcats led, 15-5, and the lead built up with a double score, 26-13, by halftime.
