Macomb became district champions before facing elimination during regionals. Coach James Hancock praised Macomb’s freshman pitcher, Brenna Beauchamp’s season performance. “If she is pitching well and hitting spots, we thrive off of that and she did a great job for us this year,” he said.

Bethel High School Marching Band had a very successful day at the Konawa Band Day placing second in the Class 3A parade competition, first In 3A field marching competition, first in 3A outstanding drumline and first in 3A outstanding auxiliary (color guard).

Bethel (4-1, 1-1) enters tomorrow night’s district contest at Crooked Oak (1-3, 0-2) sporting a program-tying best start after five games. They will have a chance to tie the 2002 and 2006 teams if they can knock off the Ruf-Nex, as those two squads began the season with 5-1 records.

The Tecumseh Savages and Lady Savages Cross Country team ran in the Sulphur Meet on Monday and came back with some hardware. The Savages ran a 3.3 mile course and came back with four of the top five finishes. Michael Juhl was second with a time of 20:01.
