Maud Lady Tigers Begin Regionals At 1pm Today

The Maud Lady Tigers drew a bye in the first round of Districts last week, which put them in the finals, where they took on the Sasakwa Lady Vikings. In the first quarter, the Lady Tigers battled with the Lady Vikings to keep the lead. By the end of the quarter, Sasakwa pulled ahead,15-12.

Asher Indians Defeat Wapanucka For District Title

The Asher Indians took control of the game against the Wynnewood Savages in the first quarter with a commanding 23-5 lead. The Savages held the Indians to 12 points in the second quarter, but Asher maintained the lead going into halftime, 35-11.

Bethel Powerlifters Host Statewide Meet

Bethel Powerlifters hosted the 5th Annual Bethel Wildcat Powerlifting Meets on Wednesday, Jan. 31, for the Junior High lifters and Thursday, Feb. 1, for High School lifters. Bethel hosted 1,119 total High School lifters at Firelake Arena.

Current Lady Wolves Coach, Wendi Wells defies the norm and gets inducted into the SHS Hall of Fame while still coaching her girls. Coach Wells came to Shawnee 16 Seasons ago. In 2012, she led the Lady Wolves to a State Championship Victory and impressive 29-0 record. Several former players came home to support her induction during the half time festivities on Jan. 26. Lady Savages Win Three Tight Games Last Week

The Lady Savages had three tight games last week but managed to win all three and have won five of their last six as they get ready for the season’s stretch run and the playoffs.

Three Wins For Tecumseh

Last week was a good one for the Tecumseh Savage round ballers with three straight wins. The Savages seem to be ramping up for a stretch run with four wins in a row, as well as winning five of their last six after a long run of losses.
