Avedis Foundation hosts 8th Annual “Celebrate Educators” Event

Avedis Foundation hosted its 8th annual “Celebrate Educators” event on Friday, August 22 at Firelake Arena in Shawnee, welcoming nearly 2,400 educators from Pottawatomie County and public school districts from the neighboring communities of Seminole, Prague, Meeker, Chandler, and Little Axe.

Jim Thorpe Academy awarded grant from Dollar General Literacy Foundation

Jim Thorpe Academy has been awarded an $8,500 Beyond Words grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation to support the restoration and expansion of its school library.
