OK Freewheel Is Coming To Tecumseh

The City of Tecumseh and the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce will host the OK Freewheel 2023 event, held in the Slick Humphrey Park on Tuesday, June 13, and Wednesday, June 14. The event is projected to host over 350 bikers in Tecumseh.

Rawls Retires After 43 Years

On May 21, 1979, Kim Rawls began her job at American National Bank, in Shawnee, as a personal loan clerk temp. Through the years, her title changed to commercial loan secretary, consumer lender, and finally, to mortgage loan officer. And, in 1998, the bank changed to Arvest.

Abby Thompson, the new Dist. 3 County Commissioner was sworn into office Tuesday morning and introduced to attendees Jan. 3, at the first meeting held in the new County Administration Building. Thompson, a 2005 graduate of Prague High School, has a business degree with a minor in accounting.

A record number of people attended the Fifth Annual FireLake Fireflight Balloon Festival on Aug. 12-13. There were 25 hot-air balloons from seven states that participated in balloon launches, tethered rides, and balloon glows, such as this one on Sat. night.
