County Approves COVID Hazard Pay

Pottawatomie County employees should watch for a little extra pay next month. The Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners approved hazard pay for county employees who worked during the 2020 COVID pandemic and are still employed by the county.

OBU will present its 84th annual Hanging of the Green Saturday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium on the university campus. The entire community is invited to attend the festive and free holiday celebration.

United Way Raises $36K At Masquerade Fundraiser

The United Way of Pottawatomie County (UWPC) is honored to announce that a total of $36,000 was raised at the United Way Masquerade Fundraiser. The United Way Masquerade took place at The Grand Casino Hotel & Resort on October 11.

Nearly 1,000 Served At Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

In Tecumseh, there is a group of people who spend part of their Thanksgiving Day volunteering. Some of them have made it a tradition for 17 years, and this year, with the return to a dine-in option, they made the holiday brighter for 997 people.
