Candidate filings begin for the City of Tecumseh

Candidates interested in filing for municipal offices for Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 3, Ward 4, and Mayor for the City of Tecumseh in Pottawatomie County will file Declarations of Candidacy beginning 8 am June 8, 2026.

Early voting begins June 11

Early voting begins Thursday, June 11, 2026, for voters in Pottawatomie County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.

County begins 2026-27 budget process

CACCO awarded $95,608

The Avedis Foundation awarded a $95,608 grant to the Child Advocacy Center of Central Oklahoma (CACCO) to help expand forensic interviewing, advocacy, and mental health services for children experiencing abuse across Pottawatomie, Lincoln, and Seminole Counties.

North Rock Creek Drama was well represented at the 2026 Kelli O’Hara Awards. At last year’s awards, Cooper Lincoln was one of 10 finalists for Outstanding Actor, but didn’t win. This year, with his stellar performance as Jack Kelly, in "Newsies," he brought home the trophy!
