The founder of Tecumseh Ok High School Friends page on Facebook, Ginger Rogers West, passed away Aug. 1. She was 79. She was a member of the Tecumseh High School Class of 1964. She loved her hometown and her school, and they loved her back.

Stephen “Steve” Franklin Hurt passed away July 18, 2025. Steve was born on Dec. 4, 1954 to Clyde and Betty Hurt in Henryetta, OK. He graduated from Dos Palos High School in 1973 where he lettered in football and wrestling.

Robert “Robbie” Eugene Ketchum

Robert “Robbie” Eugene Ketchum passed away July 21, 2025. Robbie proudly served in the United States Army for 29 years, retiring as a Sergeant Major and medic. Robbie graduated from Earlsboro High School in 1980 and later attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Joseph Barton Myers passed away on July 23, 2025. He was born on June 8, 1941, in El Campo, TX, to Glen and Elma Myers. Joe graduated from Chandler High School in 1959. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Oklahoma.

Barbara Battige passed away on July 19, 2025. Barbara was born on Aug. 11, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI to George and Helen Philipp. Barbara graduated from Rufus King High School. She married James (Jim) on June 27, 1964. Barbara was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and loved her church family.

Wilma Lucille (McDowell) Dyer was born Mar. 23, 1937, in Wetumka, OK to Thomas Ira and Lucinda Elizabeth (Rogers) McDowell. She departed this life on July 25th, 2025 at the age of 88.

Bobby “Bob” Arnold Brown passed away July 26, 2025, at the age of 83. Bobby was born to George and Macel Brown on April 17, 1942, on their farm just south of Geary, OK. He graduated from Geary High School in 1960, where he played football, wrestling, and baseball.

William Frank Fipps, age 88, passed away July 20, 2025, after a long battle with heart complications. Frank was born on Oct. 30, 1936, in Brownsboro, TX, to William Frank Fipps, Sr. and Millie (Hutchins) Fipps.

David “Tiny” Roy Aliff

On July 21, 2025, at 2 a.m., David Roy Aliff— known to most simply as “Tiny”—passed away suddenly on the way to the hospital after his heart gave out. He was 68 years old.Tiny was born on May 7, 1957, in Sandusky, OH. Though his given name was David, few people actually called him that.
