The International Finals Youth Rodeo is back for its 30th edition in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center from July 10-15. Taylor Williams, a Tecumseh High School graduate, is a part of the onsite SSM Health sports medicine team at IFYR this year.

Shawnee alum, former University of Oklahoma All-American, and current Kansas City Chiefs center – will be the featured guest during the inaugural Shawnee Summer Pride strength and agility clinic July 11-14. The clinic is open to all Shawnee area athletes in grades 7-12 at no charge.

BHS Baseball hosts first College Prospect Camp

Bethel baseball hosted the first annual Pottawatomie County Prospect Camp on Monday, June 27 at the High School Baseball Field. The camp was designed for baseball players interested in playing at the collegiate level. Position players and pitchers attended the camp.

The Juneteenth Pickleball Tournament was held for the first time on June 18 at OBU’s Recreation and Wellness Center. It was organized by Shawnee Forward and the Dunbar Heights Community to add to the Juneteenth Celebration.

Tecumseh High School has a new head baseball coach and it’s someone who is a Tecumseh lifer and bleeds Black and Gold. Easton Marrs, a 2015 Tecumseh graduate was approved by the Tecumseh Board on Monday to lead Savage Baseball.
