County Superintendents discuss benefits of the Education Sales tax

Citizens of Pottawatomie County will have the opportunity to make the half-cent Education Sales Tax permanent on April 1, 2025. The Countywide & Sun has begun visits with the 14 school district superintendents in the county to hear why this tax is beneficial for the schools and the students.

Letter from the Principal:5/20/2024Dear Seniors,As I finish my 8th year as principal at Macomb it is hard to believe how fast time has flown. From young 5th grade girls and boys, you have grown into young women and men and it has been a privilege to be a small part of that.

Macomb Trade Days is Revived

Macomb has revived their "Trade Days," after several years. It was held on Sept. 22 along Main Street, and there were 35 vendors from Macomb and surrounding communities, according to organizer Shannon Browning.
