Carrie Milburn is a teacher for two school districts that she loves, and recently, she was honored by the Oklahoma State Department of Education as the Expanded Learning Hero of the Month for October.

Bethel Schools Dress Code Will Stay As Written

After a lengthy discussion, the Bethel School Board approved the dress code as written at the special meeting held on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Susan Watson said the information provided to the board showed the majority of the dress code complaints were about piercings, not clothing.

Experience Mummy Day At the Mabee-Gerrer Museum

The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is hosting its annual Mummy Day on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 11 am to 3 pm. The free, family- friendly event celebrates Oklahoma’s only mummies, including Tutu, which is on permanent display at the Museum.
