Don’t Forget To Vote, Polls Open 7 am, Tuesday, Mar. 7

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023, for the State Question 820 Special Election. Pottawatomie County Election Board Secretary, Patricia Carter, offers these important tips to voters—especially those who will be casting a ballot for the first time.

Tecumseh Family Raises Funds For An Animal Rescue

It all started with the love of a dog. Ten-yearold Eli Storie, of Tecumseh, and his Australian Shepherd, Pongo, have been best friends ever since Storie and his family fostered the dog with 405 Animal Rescue. It wasn’t long before the Stories adopted Pongo in 2019.

About 130 people were ready to reminisce, as the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce Annual Auction went “Back to the ‘80’s.” With the live and silent auctions held on Feb. 23 at Tecumseh City Hall and the online auction available Feb.

Residents of Shawnee have an opportunity to provide input to the City of Shawnee’s Strategic Plan by completing a Community Survey that will be mailed to randomly selected households, starting this week. “This is the important first step in the strategic planning process.
