The Potawatomi Fire continued their winning ways on Saturday, beating the Texas 7ers 135-123. With the win, the Fire extended their TBL record win streak to 17. They also extended TBL’s record home win streak to 33 and swept the regular season series against the Texas 7ers.

Outstanding Savage Athletes Receive Award

You can tell it’s the end of the school year in Tecumseh when hardware is given out at the Annual Savage Sports Awards Reception. Several major awards were given out to some outstanding Tecumseh Athletes, as well as plaques for Savage Senior Athletes.

Thunderbird: April 29. Elevation is .5 ft. above normal and stable, water temperature 65°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Saugeye fair on crankbaits and plastic baits around points. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows around shallows and shorelines. White bass good on sassy shad and small lures around main lake and points. OBU Twirler Wins Numerous Titles

Lily Thompson, a feature twirler and freshman for the OBU Bison Band, came home from the Oklahoma State Twirling Competition on April 27 with the title of Miss College Majorette of Oklahoma. It was an interesting weekend competing in Enid as there was severe weather. There were tornado sightings and two contest delays to shelter in place. Despite that, Thompson won numerous state titles, including first-place title wins in solo and x-strut events.
