Seminole State College baseball is headed to nationals after two wins Thurs- day afternoon in the NJ - CAA South Central District Tournament. The Trojans defeated St. Charles Com - munity College of Missouri in back-to-back games (11-5 and 19-5) to secure a berth in the JUCO World Series. The tournament was held at the Brian Crawford Me morial Sports Complex in Seminole. The World Series will be held from May 2329, 2026 in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Three-sport senior athlete Cadence Leba received the Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year at the Tecumseh High School Athletic Awards on May 18. Jekhi Owens won the Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year.

The Seminole State College Trojan softball team won the NJCAA South Central District title last weekend and earned a trip to the JUCO World Series national tournament. The Trojans defeated NEO in the championship game 3-2 at the CPN FireLake Ball Fields in Shawnee on Saturday. The national tournament will begin on May 25, 2026, in Oxford, Alabama. Photo Provided

The Lady Indians won the quarterfinals with Big Pasture, 4-3, and the semifinals against Lookeba-Sickles, 5-0, before falling to Leedey, 10-12. They end their season as the state runner-up, with a record of 28-9.
