Waiting on Autumn

Will autumn ever come? That’s the question on everyone’s mind at the Golden Age Center too. The answer is that it will come on Sept. 22, just five days away!Along with the heat, many at the center suffered from illnesses, accidents, and the loss of loved ones this summer.

A tribute to America's workforce

The Golden Age Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in honor of Labor Day.This holiday was started as a tribute to America’s work force. All of us at the center are retired from that work force, but have good memories of our contributions to education, military, business, farming, etc.

A bump on the nose

Last StandIt started as a small bump on the bridge of my nose. This was the second time in six months it’s appeared. I’ve been through this before with the same thing on my arm and back.
