Tough Season Comes To An End For The Tecumseh Savages

The battered, injured, and undermanned Tecumseh Savage football team’s season came to an end last Friday night with a 42-0 loss to Blanchard, who claimed the District 4A-2 Championship. It was a tough season for the young Savages as they tried to overcome numerous injuries to compete on the field.
Bethel Senior, Brooklyn Duff, signs a Letter of Intent to play softball for Eastern Oklahoma State College. Wildcats Celebrate Seniors At The Last Game Of The Season

Bethel Wildcats ended their season Friday with a 63-7 loss to Jones. Jones jumped ahead in the first quarter, 22-0 and extended the lead to 49-7 by half. A 15-yard touchdown run by Luke Quinter and an extra point kick by Luke Drew put the Wildcats on the scoreboard.

Tecumseh Lady Savage star pitcher Serenity Jacoway has been named an All-Stater. Not only was she selected to the 3A-4A Middle East All-State Team, but she was selected as the starting pitcher on the squad.

Penalties And Turnovers Defeat Tecumseh

The Savages traveled to Bridge Creek last Friday night for a District 4A-2 gridiron battle. Tecumseh had a chance to get back in the win column, but big penalties and numerous turnovers turned a third quarter Savage comeback into a loss in the fourth quarter.

Luther Lions Hand A 64-20 Loss To The Wildcats

It was a hard loss Friday, Oct. 27, when Luther took a 22-point lead in the first quarter of the game. The Wildcats got on the board in the second quarter with a 21-yard pass from Maddox Davis to Reagan Curry. Luke Drew successfully kicked the extra point. At half-time the Lions led 50-7.

The donkeys from Dairyland Donkey Ball in Wisconsin, were back on the Tecumseh basketball court Sunday, Oct. 29, after being absent since 2021.
