Savages Ready To Tip Off The New Season

It’s the time of the year when sports move inside to a cozy arena and the Savage round ballers are bringing back experience and looking to win more this season, including close games. The Savages finished the season in Regionals last year and with a less than stellar 6-13 record.

Three years ago Andrew Moore-Holland put his hand up in math class, volunteering to join the track team for Earlsboro Public Schools, much to the surprise of Elementary School Principal and Track & Cross Country Coach Stacy Barton. “We go out to the track,” Moore-Holland said.

Tecumseh Savages Finish Season With An Exciting Win

The Savage gridiron squad finished the season with an exciting win against John Marshall in historic Taft Stadium last Friday night in Oklahoma City and gave Tecumseh two wins in a row to end the season. “It was as exciting as it could be,” Savage Head Coach Ty Bullock stated.

There were 600 spectators in the bleachers and Tecumseh basketball players cheering from the sidelines at the Tecumseh Middle School gymnasium on Sat., Nov. 6. It might have been a normal basketball game—except for the donkeys.

Emily Bingham, first baseman for the Lady Savages State Runner-up squad, has been honored with a selection to the Class 4A All-State Team. Tecumseh ended the season with a record of 34-5, and Bingham played in all 39 contests. Bingham had a batting average of .

Bethel Opens Playoff In Lindsey

Bethel picked up the program’s first-ever victory over Purcell while on the road last Friday night, winning 34-13. With the win, the Wildcats (8-2 overall, 5-2 in district play) finished third in District 2A-3 behind Washington (10-0, 7-0) and Community Christian (8-2, 6-1).

Savages Celebrate Senior Night With A 48-8 Win

It’s been a long time coming but after a football season filled with injuries and other issues, the Tecumseh Savages found their way back to the win column. It came in the form of a 48-8 shellacking of Classen SAS last Friday night at home on senior night.
