Wilma “Jean” (Jeffcoat) Rodgers, 91, passed away on Feb. 15, 2026. She was born on Aug. 12, 1934, in Alex, OK to W.J. (Wilkey) Jeffcoat and Nellie Mae (Dutton) Jeffcoat. Jean graduated from Shawnee High School, Shawnee, OK. On Sept. 14, 1952, she married W. Norvell Rodgers.

Bradon Michael Pearson, 31, passed away on Jan. 20, 2026. He was born on Feb. 23, 1994, in Altus, OK to Lee Michael Pearson and Kimberly Pierce Bell. Bradon graduated from military school in Louisiana and later attended Seminole State College before enlisting in the United States Army in 2015.

Betty Faye Duck, 87, passed away Feb. 13, 2026. Betty was born on Mar. 12, 1938, to Dave E. Giddens and Edith (Pratt) Giddens in Wanette, OK. She married Claud J. Duck on April 6, 1956.Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Claud Duck and her son Roderick Duck.

Patrick Robert Johnson

Patrick Robert Johnson passed away Feb. 8, 2026. He was born on Dec. 2, 1948, in Shawnee, OK, to John Edward Johnson and Anna Lee (Taron) Johnson. Pat was a 1967 graduate of Worthington High School. Following graduation, he returned to Shawnee where he worked on the family farm.

Mike McCormick, 78, died early Sunday morning at his home in Shawnee.Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2025 but continued working a full schedule and filed his final article for the Lincoln County News two weeks ago.
