Bethel teacher Kerry Ingersoll directs one of her kindergarten students on Jan. 6. Ingersoll is one of 12 nominees for Oklahoma State Teacher of the Year for 2022. She has been teaching for 16 years and feels strongly about helping her students deal with the trauma in their lives.

The first-ever Shawnee Police Department Toy Drive was a huge success. Receiving 751 toys, the department was able to distribute gifts to 162.
