Seventeen Local Graduates Receive American FFA Degrees

Bethel Approves $145,000 To Repair Gym Roof

Bethel School board accepted the low bid for the $965,000 building bonds for 2023 from Vision Bank. Four bids were presented with the winning bid being $128,869.35 with an average interest rate of 4.498058 percent. This was approved during the first of two special meetings held Monday, Jan. 23.

Dunbar Heights Cleanup Day Successful

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the City of Shawnee’s Love Your Block program joined Dunbar Heights neighbors and volunteers from across the community in a cleanup day on January 14, 2023. With the help of 38 volunteers, four roll-off trailers were filled with over 64,000 lbs.

City Of Shawnee Seeks Input On Airport Minimum Standards

The Shawnee Airport Advisory Board is seeking comments on proposed amendments to the Minimum Standards and Requirements for Commercial Aeronautical Services and Non-Commercial Aeronautical Tenant Activities, and Rules and Regulations for the Operation of Shawnee Regional Airport.

$74,636 Project Approved By County

The Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners approved Haskell Lemon to complete the asphalt project in Dist. 3 for Abigail Drive in the Rock Creek Spring Addition, Monday, Jan. 23. The project is being completed using current six-month bids for a total cost of $74,636.20.
