SSC Hosts Reach Higher Event

Seminole State College will host a Reach Higher: Reconnect event to help working adults learn more about completing their degrees on March 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boren Library on campus. The theme of the event is “Your Road to 60.

Because of the Lunar Cycle, March’s Dark Sky nights were split with some nights at the beginning of the month and the rest at the end. Mother Nature did cooperate on both series of dates giving us some good viewing, but the observatory did have to close for a few days because of sleet/ice/snow.

Abigail Lilite from Shawnee Named to Dean’s Honor List

Cedarville University student Abigail Lilite of Shawnee, OK, majoring in Music Performance, Keyboard Pedagogy, was named to the Dean’s Honor List for Fall 2021. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

South Rock Creek Announces Third 9-Weeks Honor Roll

South Rock Creek Public Schools has released the names of honor roll students for their third nineweeks. Two separate honor rolls recognize students for their academic achievement. The Superintendent Honor Roll is composed of students who earned a 4.
