Weather Prevents Flag Retirement Ceremony, Flag Day Indoor Ceremony Continued

Stormy weather caused half of the Flag Day Ceremony at the Tecumseh American Legion Post #260 to be canceled. The collection of old flags could not be retired to fire, but the indoor portion went as scheduled.

REAL ID Enforcement Begins

OKLAHOMA CITY—Starting tomorrow, travelers nationwide must present a REAL ID-compliant license or another TSA-accepted form of identification to board domestic flights or enter certain federal facilities, as federal enforcement of the REAL ID Act officially takes effect.

SHAWNEE, Okla. (June 9, 2025) — Oklahoma country music band Ricochet will headline the annual Citizen Potawatomi Nation (CPN) FireLake Fireflight Balloon Festival on Saturday, Aug. 9.
