SSC Brian Crawford Memorial Sports Complex Opens Today

The Seminole State College Educational Foundation will host a grand opening event for the Brian Crawford Memorial Sports Complex on Oct. 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. A ribbon cutting will be held at 3:15 p.m.

After 29 Innings In 42 Hours, Lady Savages Are 4A State Runner Up

The Lady Savages are the State 4A Fast Pitch Runner-Up in the State of Oklahoma. It was a grueling tournament for Tecumseh with two straight extra-inning games in the quarterfinals and semifinals in OKC.

Caught In Action

There are many stories to be told about last Thursday’s game between Bethel (4-3, 2-2 District 2A-2) and Star Spencer (1-6, 0-4). Let’s begin with quarterback Cale Duncan. The sophomore got his first career start against the Bobcats, and he did not disappoint.

Bethel Will Face Off Against Crossings Christian Friday Night

Bethel (4-3, 2-2 District 2A-2) will travel to Crossings Christian (5-2, 2-2) tomorrow night for a 7 pm kickoff. Series History: First meeting between the schools. Crossings won their district last season and made it all the way to the semifinals of Class 2A.

THS Savages Receive A Brutal 42-0 Loss In Bethany

Spending Thursday night fall break in Bethany wasn’t kind to the Savages on the gridiron. Tecumseh traveled to Bethany for an important District 4A-2 battle and the Savages seemed to be late getting off the bus.

FireLake Arena Hosts First Pro-Am Basketball Tournament

For those missing the sound of dribbling and the swish of the net, FireLake Arena offered a healthy dose of basketball this weekend. The inaugural FireLake Arena Fall Shootout Basketball Tournament invited eight Pro-Am (professional/ amateur) teams to compete for a total purse of $10,000.

Dale Pirates Win 22nd State Baseball Championship, Forsythe Coaches Three Sons At State

The Dale Pirates Baseball Team is living up to its tradition. On Sat., Oct. 8, the eighth-ranked Pirates played the Class A State Championship against top-ranked Silo. Held at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in OKC, the final game was a victorious 18-11.

Lady Savages Begin State Play

The Lady Savages are Regional Champions and again headed to the 4A Fast Pitch State Tournament. Tecumseh needed one more game than they hoped as the “if necessary” game became necessary with a loss to Newcastle in the first title game.
