THS Softball wins season opener

It was opening night for the Lady Savage Fast Pitch team Tuesday night as they hosted Prague, and it seemed that the Lady Red Devils would spoil a win for Tecumseh.

OBU hires new Assistant Coach

SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist University men’s basketball program and head coach Jason Eaker announced the hiring of MJ Smith as assistant coach on Thursday.“We are excited to announce the hiring of MJ to our staff,” Eaker said.

North Rock Creek Elementary, Middle and High School Archery Teams qualified for their 6th straight trip to Kentucky for the National Archery in the Schools National Championship Competition in May.

SHS Tennis announces new head coach

Shawnee, OK – July 30, 2025 — Shawnee Public Schools is proud to announce that Tyler Harrison has been named the new Head Coach of the Shawnee High School Boys Tennis program.

Fast pitch softball is just around the corner and the Lady Savages are looking to overcome their disappointment last year when they were knocked out of their own Regional Tournament in spite of a record of 25-8.“We want to do our best to get back to state,” according to Head Coach Chad Trahan.

Tecumseh Volleyball is coming off a historical season last year, and they hope to run it back this fall.In 2024, the Lady Savages became the very first THS Volleyball team to make it all the way to the State Tournament.

OKLAHOMA CITY (July 22, 2025) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond is urging the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to restore the records, titles, awards and recognitions of female athletes that were denied because of biological males competing in women’s sports.
