Out of eight teams in the Class 5A Slow Pitch Softball State Tournament last Thursday at Firelake, Pottawatomie County had three teams, Tecumseh, Mc-Loud and North Rock Creek.

The rain just keeps coming. Don’t worry, you haven’t missed the State Tournament. The 6A, 5A, and 4A Slow Pitch State Tournament were postponed due to the imminent rain on Tuesday and will be played today (Thursday) at Firelake.

Strong finish, Savages end season in tough Regionals

Savage baseball showed improvement at the end of the season with a run of 9 of 10 wins to finish the regular season. Tecumseh had to travel to Putnam City on Friday to face some tough competition at Regionals.The Savages faced Bishop McGuinness, and it turned out to be a pitcher’s duel.

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Oklahoma Baptist won the Great American Conference Women’s Track & Field Championships for the fourthstraight year as the Bison won five events on Friday. Harding finished second. Oklahoma Baptist’s Valerie Olson claimed the MVP award.
