Potawatomi Fire celebrates season of TBL firsts

On Jan. 17 at FireLake Arena, the Potawatomi Fire reflected on their record-setting 2024 season and celebrated with the TBL (The Basketball League) Championship Banquet & Ring Ceremony.

Asher fishing program nets two teams, places in tourney

Asher seventh-grader Braxton Ray loves fishing and can be found doing just that at his pond whenever the weather allows.So, when he and his mother, Melissa Ray, happened to meet the Tecumseh Public Schools Fishing Teams at a farm show, it was destiny.

Tecumseh loses two road games

The Savages continued on the road last week and dropped two decisions. Tecumseh went to Jones and had two quarters, the second and third, that put the Savages in a hole they couldn’t climb out of.

Lady Savages suffer close losses

The Lady Savages were on the road last week as they traveled to Jones before finally finishing the Weatherford Tournament, which was delayed by the winter weather.Tecumseh went to Jones to meet the 8thranked Lady Longhorns and came close to getting a win before dropping a threepoint loss.

Ouachita beats Oklahoma Baptist University 71-59

SHAWNEE – With several players and the campus dealing with sickness the last few days, Thursday night’s Oklahoma Baptist versus Ouachita matchup ended with a 71-59 Tigers win in the Noble Complex.The Bison fell to 10-5 overall and 7-2 in the Great American Conference.
