Savages Beat Seminole, Snow Delays Weatherford Tourney

The Tecumseh round ballers went on the road to meet Seminole last week, and the points mounted early for the Savages.The Savages outpaced Seminole 19-8 in the first quarter and then topped the opening quarter as Tecumseh took a 35-10 lead early in the second quarter.

Lady Savages Clear The Bench In A 61-25 Win Over Seminole

Last week, the Lady Savages began with a big win over Seminole on the road, Tuesday night. Then, a winter snowstorm moved games around in a tough tournament in Weatherford.Against Seminole, the Lady Savages jumped out to a huge lead in the first quarter with a 23-3 lead over the Lady Chieftains.

Three OBU Bison Earn CSC Academic All-District Accolades

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist football players Landen Francis, Andrew Sawyer, and Austin Vincent were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.For Sawyer, he’s now a two-time recipient of the honor.

It was a tough football season for the Savages, including an extreme schedule and suffering injuries during the year, but there was plenty of talent on the team, and some found some kudos for their play.
