Lady Savages Hit the Diamond With Sights On State

The Lady Savages are off and running for the 2024 season. Having finished in last year’s State semifinals, Tecumseh has their sights on another State Tournament.Tecumseh traveled to Cushing last week and came home with a 6-3 win to open the season.

Earlsboro Senior Joins 1,000 Point Club, Recovers From Injury

Danney Billingsley has had highs and lows in his senior year at Earlsboro High School.Many would say the high point came during the third game of the basketball season, when he scored his 1,000th career point on Nov. 14, playing New Lima.

North Canadian River Valley All-Conference Team

Multiple players in Pottawatomie County are award winners from the North Canadian River Valley Conference.From Bethel are Josie Megehee, Ava Gascon, and Lexi Tucker. Brooklyn Duff and Bailey Tucker received honorable mention. Megeehe also received MVP.

BHS Powerlifters Collect Hardware In Run For State

Bethel Girls & Boys Powerlifting Split up this week. The Girls competed inside the Choctaw Casino in Durant in the Oklahoma Girls Powerlifting Association State Meet, and the Boys took on the Southeast Regionals.

Wolves Face Challenges On And Off The Tennis Court

On March 8, the Shawnee Wolves traveled to Ada to compete in the Ada I Tournament. However, the weather had other plans as rain intervened, halting the play after completing the first round, reported Shawnee Boys Tennis Coach Dacia Jordan.

Things Are Looking Up For The Young Savage Baseballers

Tecumseh Baseball is underway, and things are looking up for the young Savages. After having a shortage of players last year, the Savages are stocked up with eager players. Catch a ballgame, and you’ll see continuing progress with the squad.The Savages played Mt. St.

NRC Ends A Stellar Season In 4A State Semifinals

The North Rock Creek Cougars finished a fantastic year in the class 4A State Semifinals last Friday night against the eventual State Champions.

Lady Pirates Finish A Great Season, 2A State Runner-Up

It was a low-scoring title game, but wow, it didn’t lack any excitement late in the game as the Dale Lady Pirates faced the Merritt Oilerettes at the Big House.

Bethel Lady Wildcats Claw Their Way To State

The Bethel Lady Wildcats conquered a tough hill and made it to the State Tournament!In the first round of the Regionals, Bethel suffered a 67-56 loss to Millwood, which pushed them into the consolation bracket.
