Lady Savages Headed To Playoffs

The 16th ranked Tecumseh Lady Savages are 18-5 on the season and are headed to the playoffs with a three-game win streak and winners of 11 of their last 13. The T-Town Ladies will begin the playoffs by hosting Districts tomorrow (Friday) as they face Crossings Christian (10-10).

THS Grapplers Host Shawnee

The Savage Wrestlers finished off the regular dual season last Thursday with Senior Night, as they welcomed Shawnee to T-Town. A number of forfeits by the Savages and a good Wolves team led to a 55-20 loss for Tecumseh. At 106, Shawnee’s Blayne Taber pinned Vivian Hayes in 56 seconds.

Tecumseh House Fire Tragically Claims A Life

A loud explosion, a fully engulfed house fire, a fatality, and ashes falling from the sky across town was the scene in Tecumseh just after 5 pm Friday, Jan. 20. The scene on Washington Street, just east of 4th Street in Tecumseh was contained to one residence.

Tecumseh Wrestlers Bring Home More Hardware

The Savages and Lady Savages continue to grow and improve over the season and bring home hardware. The Savages went to compete in the Western Conference last Friday and Saturday and came back with an eighth place team finish with four individuals placing. JD Sigman claimed first at 144 pounds.

Savages Lose In Overtime

The hard luck Savage round ballers continue to suffer tough luck from early on with injuries up to now when the ball just doesn’t bounce their way in close games, including two overtime losses last week.

Tecumseh Savages Suffer Tough Losses Through The Week

Last week was a tough one for the Savage round ballers. After dropping a home game on Tuesday night against North Rock Creek (NRC), Tecumseh went 0-3 at the Verdigris Tournament. Against NRC, the Savages started slow and were never able to make any headway towards a comeback.

Lady Savages Take Four Wins, Lose To Bethel

Last week for the Lady Savages was hectic but successful right up until they ran into the Bethel Lady Wildcats in the First United Bank Tournament Championship game on Saturday.

Allred And Compton Receive Top Honors

The district 2A-2 football coaches met on Dec. 10 to determine the coveted post-season alldistrict team. Pottawatomie was well-represented, with Bethel and Meeker both being members.
