Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art Opens Angel Exhibit

Shawnee, OK— The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art has opened the exhibit, Angels Among Us, which includes works of art from the Renaissance to contemporary featuring various types of angels. Delaynna Trim, Curator of Collections, will be giving a Gallery Talk on Friday, Jan. 26, at 7 pm.

The City of Shawnee voted Monday, Dec. 18, to approve the authorization to file legal proceedings, pursuant to title 50, section 17 of the Oklahoma statutes in district court in Pottawatomie, Oklahoma, for the purpose of abating a nuisance, the Fairview Mausoleum.

Jeremiah House Receives Grant From Avedis Foundation

Avedis Foundation recently presented Jeremiah House with a grant for $24,500 to help with the purchase of property the organization is currently leasing.

Tecumseh Awaits FEMA Approval To Repair Storm Damage

The Tecumseh City Council met on Tuesday, Jan. 2, to discuss several issues impacting the community. The first topic of discussion was traffic flow concerns near the intersection of Broadway and Bob Crouch Drive.
