Cope’s Country Cafe Hosts First Subscribers’ Circle, Welcomes New Owner

Cope’s Country Cafe hosted the first Subscriber’s Circle on Thursday, Nov. 21. There was a great turnout. Attendees enjoyed sampling menu items before placing full orders, marking a successful community event at the cafe.

Plans To Transform Shawnee Airport Revealed

The Shawnee Regional Airport could have a significant transformation over the next six years, thanks to a comprehensive Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) unveiled to city officials on Monday, Nov. 18.

Second Annual Cars n’ K9s Raises $2,229 For Rescue

In its second year, the “Bad to the Bone” Cars n’ K9s Car Show has grown - much like the pets for which it raises money.Southern Paws Rescue, Inc. Founder and Director Michelle Oakley said they had about 50 vehicles and raised around $1,500 last year.

Shawnee, OK – November 14, 2024 — Shawnee Middle School 6th-grade students recently had the unique opportunity to engage in a visionary event, 8 80 Cities: A Conversation Between Two Generations on Community, held at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center.
