County Approves Educational Sales Tax For April 8 Ballot

Most of the Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 19, revolved around discussions of the Educational Sales Tax.This tax, implemented in 2016, is utilized by all 14 school districts in Pottawatomie County. The $0.00495 tax is set to expire in June 2026.

Tecumseh First Assembly of God Celebrates 75th Anniversary

On Saturday, Nov. 9, the Tecumseh First Assembly of God church celebrated both its past and future.Held in the sanctuary at 104 S. 4th Street, the church commemorated 75 years in the same location.

County Approves Funds For Entities, Hears Info On 8 80 Cities

The Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners approved funds for the Child Advocacy Center of Oklahoma (CACCO) to complete renovations at 131 N. Broadway.CACCO Director Kaycee Campbell requested $43,550 on Tuesday, Nov.

SSC NASNTI Program Secures $157,000 Supplemental Grant

The Seminole State College Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) federal grant program was recently awarded a supplemental grant, totaling $157,500.
