Tecumseh Track Team Challenged And Set New School Records

The Tecumseh Track squad challenged THS records all year and qualified for the State Meet in Ardmore in five events and came back with four of the five events gaining medaling at the big meet.

Maud Slow Pitch Teams Makes It Back To State

In the last few years, Maud’s softball teams have gone from nonexistent to cut short, and recently, rebounding to the State Tournament. According to the OSSAA website, Maud ended their 2020 spring slowpitch season because of the pandemic lock-down, with the last game on March 12.

The Shawnee High School Boys Tennis Team competed in the Regional Competition held at Ada High School on May 8. Head Boys Coach Dacia Jordan said, “The SHS Wolves exceeded their expectations with every position beating their seed! The team took third place, behind Ada and Bishop McGuinness.

It was another great season for the Tecumseh Lady Savage Slow Pitch squad. The Lady Savages finished the year in the State Tournament just a game short of the Title Game. Tecumseh claimed the Regional Tournament to earn their way to the State Tournament and faced Cache in the quarterfinals.

After their facilities were mostly destroyed in the April 19 tornadoes, the Shawnee boys and girls tennis teams were invited to “host” their annual NGB Tennis Tournament in Ada, April 28-29.

Bison Beat In The Final Innings Against Northeastern State

TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State scored a half-dozen runs in the final innings against Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday and won 12-7 at Rousey Field. The Bison (28-20) will now move on to prepare for Arkansas Tech this coming Friday, May 5 in the Great American Conference Tournament.
