Local Schools Receive Redbud Grant Monies

The Oklahoma State Department of Education last week allotted half of $38.5 million to 337 brick-and-mortar public schools statewide through Redbud School Funding Grants. The remainder will be distributed to qualifying schools this summer.

Tecumseh Finishes The Week With Two Wins

Last week was a good one for the Savage round ballers as they won both games and climbed over the .500 mark with a record of 10-9 on the season. Overall, the Savages have won three in a row and four of their last five.

Shawnee Teams Claim Consolation Championships

Savages Go 2-2 In An Eventful Week On The Hardwood

It was an eventful four days on the hardwood for the Savages last week as they took third place in the Byng Tournament while going 2-2 during the week. The Savages opened the week on Tuesday and faced a tough Mt. St. Mary (MSM) team.

Bethel Wildcats Roar Past Fairview In Consolation Game

The Bethel Wildcats took a hard loss from Clinton in the opening round of the Cashion Tournament Thursday, Jan. 20. The Wildcats took charge in the first half, leading Clinton 30-17 at halftime. But Clinton outscored the Wildcats by 28 points in the second half for a 63-48 win over Bethel.

Four Wins, Tournament Champions, Individual Benchmark

Last week was a big one for the Lady Savage round ballers as they picked up four wins and a tournament championship as well as an individual benchmark for an individual. Tecumseh opened the week on Tuesday as they hosted Mt. St. Mary (MSM) and ran away with a 58-23 win.
