THS Grapplers Take Two Losses On The Road

Last Thursday night the Savage wrestlers traveled to Ada for a dual meet and narrowly lost to the Cougars, 41-35.
Beginning at 106-pounds, Cole Loudermilk got a win by forfeit before the Savages gave back a forfeit at 113-pounds.

The Shawnee 2012 Undefeated State Champion Girls Basketball Team and the late Shawnee Assistant Girls Basketball Coach Steve Freeman were inducted into the Shawnee Basketball Hall of Fame during halftime of the Shawnee boys basketball game against Tecumseh on Jan. 14.

Lady Wildcats Move To 10-1 For The Season

Freshman Josie Megehee netted 27 of the 48 total points scored by the Lady Wildcats Tuesday, Jan. 11.
Bethel took the lead in the first quarter, outscoring the Harrah Lady Panthers 12-5 and held Harrah to five points each quarter through the third quarter.

Bethel Beats Harrah 60-45

Bethel Wildcats captured the 14-7 lead in the first quarter against the Harrah Panthers.
Coach Jeremy Stewart said, “Early defensive pressure helped build a lead.”
Despite a few hiccups, the Wildcats held on for the 60-45 win.

On Tuesday at home, it was very close as the T-Town ladies faced fourth ranked (3A) and defending state champs, Jones.

THS Wrestlers Hit The New Year Hard

The Tecumseh Savage wrestlers were busy last week with two home dual matches and a tournament.
The short-handed Savages gave up eight forfeits on Tuesday night against Perkins-Tryon and fell 57-16 on the home mat.
