Donald Lee James passed away on Aug. 13, 2025. Donald was born on Dec. 29, 1943 in Sparks, OK to Elmer Lee James and Marie (Wallis) James. He graduated from Davenport High School, where he played football and baseball. Don worked at Tinker Air Force Base in Logistics until his retirement.

Henry Allen Carte passed away Aug. 12, 2025. Henry was born in Oklahoma City, OK on June 11, 1954 to Henry and Geraldine “Jerry” (Week) Carter. He was raised in Blanchard and Texas. In 1973, he married Pam. Henry began his drywall career working with his mom and dad in the family business.

Cynthia Ann (East) Monday passed away Aug. 8, 2025. Cindy was born on April 22, 1965, in Van Nuys, California, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Jeff was born in Oklahoma City on Dec. 19, 1973, to Billy King and Janet Moore. He graduated from Western Heights High School and spent his career working for Tinker Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic. Jeff married Melissa King on Feb.

Calvin Wayne Rowe, Jr. passed away Aug 6, 2025. Calvin was born on Dec. 7, 1991 to Minnie Rochelle Masquas and Calvin Wayne Rowe, Sr. Calvin was raised with traditional Sac and Fox beliefs and customs although he was enrolled with the Iowa Tribe of OK.

David Leon Koehler passed away on Aug. 9th, 2025. David was born on Feb 6, 1955, in Shawnee, OK to Paul and Jessie Koehler. He obtained a degree in Criminal Justice and worked as the Director of Security at Saint Gregory’s University until his retirement.

Joanna Hazlewood, 99, passed away Aug. 7, 2025. She was born Oct. 24, 1925 in Wales, TN to the late SH and Ina Kimbrough.She married John C Hazlewood in 1954 and had 3 daughters, Mary, Linda and Nancy. Joanna was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Orvil Lorin “O.L.” Locke, Jr.

Orvil Lorin “O.L.” Locke, Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 85. O.L. was born in Madill, OK on May 5, 1940. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1958.He went on to attend OU and OBU, where he earned a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Fine Arts.
