Hazel Colleen Akin passed away Sept 4, 2025. She was born Dec. 21, 1938 in Chandler, OK to Henry Clayton and Hazel Lee (Simpson) Jones. She graduated from Shawnee High School. Colleen married Fred Jack Akin on Oct. 3, 1956 in Reno, NV. and they made their home in Shawnee.

Mary Ann Godfrey passed away Aug. 19, 2025.She was born September 17, 1952 to James and Isabelle (Peacore) Edgin in Shawnee. She was raised in Ridgecrest, California and graduated from Burroughs High School. She had two sons, Christopher and Andrew Gregory. She married Robert Godfrey in 1991.

Katherine Marjorie Taron passed away Aug. 22, 2025. Katherine was born on Oct. 17, 1943, to Pierre and Lelia Taron.

Diane Loraine Lawerance passed away Aug. 18, 2025 in Shawnee. Diane was born Nov. 6, 1951 in Shawnee, OK to Donald and Lola May Duvall. She attended Shawnee schools and married the love of her life, Billy Lawerance on May 30th, 1969.

Mavis Jean Lupton

Mavis Jean Lupton (Campbell) passed away Aug.19, 2025. Mavis was born in Shawnee on Nov. 6, 1928 to Marvin Royce and Myrtle Inez Campbell. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1947 and married George “Allen” Lupton. They raised four children.

Robert Anthony McCuistion passed away Sept. 1, 2025.Visitation will be held 9 am -5 pm Sept. 6, and 1- 7 pm Sept. 7, 2025, with family gathering from 4-6 pm. Service will be 10 am Sept. 8, 2025, at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Erik Henson officiating.

Harold Gene Daugherty

Harold Gene Daugherty passed away Aug. 24, 2025, after a brief illness. Harold was born in Edmond, OK, on Dec. 10, 1943,to A.V. and Lucille Daugherty. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1963. Harold married Margaret Carolyn Pearson on April 3, 1971 in the same church where they first met.
