Leslie “Les” Godwin passed away Aug. 8, 2025. Les was born in McLoud, OK, to Albert and Nellie Godwin. He graduated from McLoud High School married Sandy. Together they shared decades of laughter, challenges, and triumphs, raising two children they adored.

Nina Mae Eddings passed away July 28, 2025. She was born on Dec. 14, 1937, in Okfuskee County, OK, to Mary Liza (Christian) and James Elvin Edmoundson. Nina grew up between Arizona and Oklahoma City, eventually earning her GED. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and housewife.

Bobbie Beasley

Bobbie Beasley passed away July 31, 2025. Bobbie was born Dec. 7, 1933, as her given name, Norma Delaine. She was nicknamed Bobbie Jean as a young girl, and Bobbie Jean became her name that we all knew and loved. Bobbie was married to Leon Beasley for more than 60 years.

Mary Ann “Kubicek” McGee passed away July 19, 2025, at the age of 100. Mary Ann was born Sept. 18, 1924, to Czech immigrants Anna “Skocdopolva” Kubicek and Frank Kubicek Sr. in Econtuchka, OK.

Ginger Lee West

The founder of Tecumseh Ok High School Friends page on Facebook, Ginger Rogers West, passed away Aug. 1. She was 79. She was a member of the Tecumseh High School Class of 1964. She loved her hometown and her school, and they loved her back.

Stephen Franklin Hurt

Stephen “Steve” Franklin Hurt passed away July 18, 2025. Steve was born on Dec. 4, 1954 to Clyde and Betty Hurt in Henryetta, OK. He graduated from Dos Palos High School in 1973 where he lettered in football and wrestling.

Robert “Robbie” Eugene Ketchum

Robert “Robbie” Eugene Ketchum passed away July 21, 2025. Robbie proudly served in the United States Army for 29 years, retiring as a Sergeant Major and medic. Robbie graduated from Earlsboro High School in 1980 and later attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Joseph Barton Myers passed away on July 23, 2025. He was born on June 8, 1941, in El Campo, TX, to Glen and Elma Myers. Joe graduated from Chandler High School in 1959. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Oklahoma.

Barbara Battige passed away on July 19, 2025. Barbara was born on Aug. 11, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI to George and Helen Philipp. Barbara graduated from Rufus King High School. She married James (Jim) on June 27, 1964. Barbara was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and loved her church family.
