Tecumseh Band Director John Outon will be standing taller than ever this year. Band students will be looking up to him as he directs from atop a 9-foot tall, 40-foot long enclosed gooseneck trailer.

Taco Boy Receives Conditional Use Permit, Vyve Agreement Approved

Those eating at Taco Boy Taqueria can now order beer and wine with their meals. During the Tecumseh City Council Meeting on July 5, a Conditional Use Permit was approved for the restaurant at 401 N. Rangeline, as recommended by the Planning Commission.

THS All-Sports Awards Honors Tecumseh Athletes

You can tell it’s the end of the high school sports year when Tecumseh High School holds the Tecumseh High School Sports Awards to honor the athletes who have put in the time and effort to help the Savages obtain success on the field.
Fourteen seniors received Oklahoma High School Honor Society recognition during the Tecumseh High School Academic Awards Reception on May 3. They are, not in order, Emily Bingham, Lillian Effinger, Dylan Graham, Kyle Gregory, Danny Johnson, Elizabeth Kipps, Jacob Madden, Jaxon Meyers, Olivia Roschli, Hannah Smith, Jacob Smith, Davin Smithee, Cami Stearman, and Lauren Taylor. Savage Juniors And Seniors Rake In The Awards

For some students at Tecumseh High School, all their schoolwork, community service, and extracurricular activities paid off during the Academic Awards Reception on May 3. The junior and senior awards were presented that evening.

Lady Savages Finish Season With A 29-8 Record

The Tecumseh Lady Savage Slow Pitch squad is accustomed to finishing their season in the State Tournament and that trend continued this year. The Lady Savages finished yet another stellar season with a record of 29-8 and finished just one game away from the State Championship game.

Lady Savages Take Regionals, Headed To State

The Lady Savages are Regional Champions and moving on to the Slow Pitch State Tournament for the second year in a row. Tecumseh narrowly missed bringing home the State Title last year as they made it to the Championship Game and finished as State Runner-up.

Shawnee senior Dymire James plays on the #1 doubles team with fellow senior Peyton Greenwood in the Shawnee Boys Tennis Tournament on April 30 at Shawnee High School. The #1 doubles team of seniors Payton Greenwood and Dymire James went 1-3 and finished in eighth place.
