Amendments To Shawnee City Charter

Shawnee, Oklahoma, June 6, 2023 – Beginning today, residents of Shawnee have the opportunity to vote on important propositions affecting the City’s Charter. The June 13, 2023, citywide election presents seven proposed Charter amendments to the citizens.

City Council Discusses Marijuana Use In City Park

Mayor Eddy Parker requested the Council discuss the use of marijuana in city parks, as he has received numerous complaints of strong marijuana smells from Tecumseh citizens. The Council agreed to look into adding new signage around the parks clearly banning the use of any marijuana products.

Tecumseh Preps Transition To Summer Schedules

High school sports never really rest, even in the summer and the Tecumseh Savages and Lady Savages have already begun and continue to ramp up with summer schedules. Tecumseh baseball, under Head Coach Easton Marrs, began last week with varsity baseball camp.
