June turned out to be not a whole lot better than May in the weather department. While the temperatures got back up to the normal range, the storm systems continued to march through the state. The inclement weather has caused the cancellation of 13 scheduled viewing sessions so far this year.

New Seating Nears Completion At Cinema Centre 8

After three weeks of demo, refinishing and installation, all auditoriums at the Cinema Centre 8 should be completed with new leather, high back rocker seating by next week.

One organization that is usually busy helping veterans is in need of help themselves. American Legion Post 16 in Shawnee took major structural damage from the tornadoes on April 19.
