Shawnee, Oklahoma, December 20, 2024 – The City of Shawnee is pleased to announce the appointment of James Kriwanek as the new Fire Chief for the Shawnee Fire Department.
Lighted snowflakes of different colors have been refurbished by the Pottawatomie County Historical Society and are on display on the western and southern sides of the Paul and Ann Milburn Center in Shawnee. Museum Director Ken Landry said they were given 50 snowflakes from the City of Shawnee last year, and they have all but four restored. Of those, 36 are on display at the museum, and they loaned 10 to SEFF for their Santa float.

This holiday season, OG&E is donating 330 bikes to children in communities across its service area in Oklahoma – including in Earlsboro and Asher. Josh “Dude” Robertson from OG&E’s Shawnee Service Center delivers bicycles to the Earlsboro Town Hall. Thanks to the electric company’s generous donation, many children in both Earlsboro and Asher received a new bike just in time for the holiday season. Photo provided by OG&E

Oklahoma City (December 13, 2024) – Mrs. Jaime Griggs, Assistant Principal at Tecumseh High School, Tecumseh Public Schools, has been named the 2024-2025 High School Assistant Principal of the Year by the Oklahoma Association of Secondary School Principals (OASSP). Mrs.
